The University actively implements the national strategy of strengthening the country through science and technology, and has achieved outstanding results in constructing research and innovation platforms, undertaking high-level scientific research projects, producing high-quality research outcomes, and serving society. It has won several prestigious awards, including First and Second Prizes of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, Second Prize of the National Technological Invention Award, and Jiangxi Province’s first Humanities and Social Sciences First Prize from the Ministry of Education, and has made significant breakthroughs in major research projects such as the Program of National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, Key Programs of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Key Programs of the High-Speed Railway Joint Fund, National Key Research and Development Programs of China, Program of Excellent Young Scientists Fund and Young Overseas High-Level Talents Program of National Natural Science Foundation of China, as well as the Leading Talent Program of National Social Science Fund of China. The University currently hosts 1 National Key Laboratory, 2 National-Local Joint Engineering Research Centers, 1 National-Level University Talent Introduction Base, and over 40 provincial and ministerial-level or higher research platforms, including the Engineering Research Center of Ministry of Education.
